DTL Accounting Sync ("the App") is an internal tool of Doublethink Lab. This policy explains how it handles data from QuickBooks Online.

What data the App accesses

Only Doublethink Lab's own QuickBooks Online company: accounts, customers (grants and budget lines), vendors, classes, bills, journal entries and reports.

How the data is used

Solely to record Doublethink Lab's expenses and to prepare its financial reports to funders. Data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any other purpose.

Storage and security

• OAuth tokens and the app's client secret are stored in the operating system's encrypted credential store (macOS Keychain) on a Doublethink Lab administrator's computer, never in plain-text files or source code.
• All communication with QuickBooks uses HTTPS.
• Access is limited to Doublethink Lab finance administrators, whose accounts use multi-factor authentication.

Retention and deletion

The App keeps no copy of QuickBooks data beyond what is needed for a task. Disconnecting the App revokes its tokens; locally stored tokens are deleted on request.
